Critique Portfolio

I enjoyed going through Julia’s portfolio because it has a refreshing and fun theme to it which also reflects on her work. I liked the variety she was able to show with the work she has posted. I think her animation films are very engaging and I definitely watched all of them. I feel like adding descriptions to her work would really add to her portfolio. I would’ve liked to read a little about the film. Her environmental design page are also missing descriptions which I feel like naming your work is important. I think shes a great artist and her post really shows what she’s capable of!!

The first thing I noticed about Vanna’s portfolio was all the little buttons and links I was able to click through which made her website so satisfying. Her about page made me feel like she really stands out as an artist. Her statement was very personable to her. I loved the images she chose to show off her work. It was giving angles!! I liked seeing all the details of her work up close and in different points of views. Over all her website is very sucessful to me.

This portfolio makes me feel like Frank definitely has found his identity as an artist. His home page right off the bat shows some of his work and himself which is a good set up for people looking through his site. I also love the credit to the person who took the photo. He has so many pieces to show for and has photographed all of them very well. I think his portfolio really shows that he enjoys working with communities and collaborating.

I think the theme of Jeffry’s site fits his style of work well. I enjoyed looking through his art work but wish there were names and descriptions to them. Because he does things like stickers and apparel I feel like he would benefit by making mock up of t shirts and stickers.
Testing my wesite
It all begins with an idea.
Creating a website for the first time has been tricky. It’s been hard to narrow down work and write about myself while making sure this is how I want to represent myself to people who visit my site. So far everything is in order. I do feel like a big part that is missing is the uniqueness of my website. I don’t feel yet like this is a site someone will stay on for long. A part of why I feel like this is because I dont feel ike I’ve found a personal identity as an artist yet. As much as I focused on graphic design, I’ve tried so many different things I’m not sure how to market myself and how my website would look because of that. I sent my website to my family and asked a friend to check it out. It seemed fairly fast how he was able to get through my site. I was told I need to add some personal details to everything like color, fonts, images. I would like to add more text and explanation about my work and design this site so it can accurately represent me.
